School governance
The Polytechnic Academy board provides public oversight of the school’s mission, academic program, finances, policies, and leadership. Meetings are open to the public in accordance with applicable law.
Board chair
Dr. Ariel Hurtado was born and raised in Hollister. The child of agricultural workers, he attended local schools before earning undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Spanish from UC Berkeley and an M.D. from the University of Michigan. His experience in education, medicine, family, and community service informs his commitment to local students.
